Liberia:

Africa’s first independent republic, declared on July 26, 1847. In 1848, Joseph Jenkins Roberts was inaugurated as our first President, serving from 1848 to 1856. Later in 2006, we made history again by electing Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa’s first female President, who led our nation from 2006 to 2018. From the music , food community/people, the beautiful palm trees, and warm beaches—everything about Liberia is worth celebrating.
